Description
These groovy leather trousers were owned by Allen Toussaint, who probably hadn't worn them since the late 70's. They were probably custom made, but in the style of North Beach leather. These have hand stitched leather, in black on seams, and leather covered buttons on bottoms of the legsThey lace up in front with a leather cord. and are fully lined with black, satin, acetate or rayon.
These are in excellent condition, for age, some minor spots and wear, some fading on the lining. Clean. See close ups, great condition for white pants! A few spots on legs.
Allen Toussaint is one of the architects of Rock and Roll and was busy his whole life, from a very young age making music. Also, producing, writing, performing on stage and doing everything under the sun.
He was an icon of the New Orleans music scene, as well as L.A. back in the day when the was THE place for the music industry.
Allen was a slim young man when he wore these. They are on the small side.
