Description

WALLACE & TIERNAN, Series 44, Encore 700 Metering Dosing Chemical Delivery Pumps, with BALDOR 1/2-HP variable-speed DC (0-90V) motors.  Complete - Cleaned & Tested.
I have eight (8) of these available.  These were purchased as surplus used equipment from municipal water-works in Tampa, FL.
All pumps have been cleaned, tested, and are 100% functional.  Guaranteed ready for use.
Wet ends, including PTFE diaphragm and check valves have been inspected and cleaned.  New o-rings installed on check valve modules.  All pumps contain clean (but used) oil.  Plumbing connectors to inlet and outlet are NPT (1/2"?) and/or 2-piece compression type PVC fittings (see photos).  Units show exterior cosmetic wear from use and storage, including scratches, minor surface rust on pump bodies, and some surface corrosion of the aluminum motor housings (see photos).  Motors have simple 2-wire power connection (+/- DC), and two leads for internal thermostat.  Sturdy plastic bases in good condition.
All of these pumps use BALDOR motors that run on 0-90V DC power (#34-6651-3662G2, 0.5HP, TEFC enclosure, See Photo of motor plate).  Pump speed is adjustable via input voltage.  These were tested using an automotive battery charge on either Charge or Boost setting.  Pump speed faster on Boost, as it should be.  Each pump ALSO has a set of 4 belt/pulley pairs that are easily changed to provide up to an additional 4:1 gear-down.  Pumps tested on high gear (fastest) setting.  Furthermore, the length of piston stroke is adjustable from 10 to 100%, to give additional control of pumping rate.  Finally, there are three different diaphragm sizes among these 8 pumps (1.23", 2", and 3").  Also the internal gearing is different for different models.

I assume the rated pumping speed (strokes per minute, or GPH) is for setting all 3 adjustments (voltage, belts, and stroke) to maximum.
Testing was done using automotive battery charger, which puts-out about 14VDC.  I counted the actual strokes per minute for each pump
, with all pulleys set on Highest speed.  As you can see, pumping rate (SPM) is less at 14V than it would be at full 90V motor rating.
All pumps have Tachometer sending unit on top of motor.  These have not been tested and are not guaranteed.  One out of the eight tach units has a bad bearing - I will sell this one last, as they are easily interchangeable.  Each weighs about 130 pounds.  Base is 11"x11", overall height is 34", 12 x 16 overall width.
Photos show typical condition.  All pumps are bolted to a sturdy high-impact plastic stand.  All pumps are SIMPLEX (single-head) models.  Some parts may be missing when photos were taken, but be assured that all pumps will be complete when shipped!  Plenty of additional photos available (please inquire).
Compare to other eBay listings for these pumps, which are untested and missing motors or check-valves, dirty, unknown interior condition, etc.
